INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSAFFILIATE MEMBERSHIPS
- Individual memberships will include a subscription to the Official IAPPS Crop Protection Journal (the electronic version published by Elsevier).
- The individual membership fee structure is as follows:
- Basic membership (Industrialized Country Scientists) -- US$50/year.
(Includes $20/year for journal + $30/year IAPPS membership)- Basic Membership (Developing Country Scientists) -- US$35/year.
(Includes $20/year for journal + $15/year IAPPS membership)- Basic membership plus subscription to Crop Protection print version (Industrialized Country Scientists) -- US$130/year.
(Includes $20/year for electronic version of journal, $80/year for print version of journal, and $30/year IAPPS membership)- Basic membership plus subscription to Crop Protection print version (Developing Country Scientists) -- US$115/year.

- Reduced registration fee at IPPCs.

- Ready access to Crop Protection for publication of manuscripts in a peer-reviewed, internationally recognized journal without page charges.
- Access to a regional network for improved communication and collaboration on pest problems of mutual interest.
- National, regional, and international societies/congresses will be recruited as Affiliate Members.
- Affiliate memberships would be without fee in return for access to mailing lists of the affiliates and their promotion of memberships in IAPPS.

- Participate in joint international efforts to draw greater attention to plant protection as the most economical and ecologically acceptable approach to increasing food/fiber production to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding world population.
- Entitled to name a representative to the Regional IAPPS Advisory Council that would enhance the focus of agricultural research/extension funds on plant protection problems.
- Participate in development of policy statements aimed at informing both the political and funding entities concerning the global production losses due to pests and to the realities that they will intensify with the increasing intensification of production systems and with the increased global mobility of commodities and people.
- Enhanced opportunities for co-sponsorship of regional meetings and mini-congresses that address important pest problems of the region.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIPS
- National, regional, and international (governmental and non-governmental [NGO]) organizations and agencies will be recruited as Associate Members with membership fee.
- Associate Member Benefits.
- Participate in a regional network for improved collaboration and integration of research and extension programs.
- Participate in a network that will provide greater visibility to the institution and to its professional staff.
- Enhance professional development opportunities for profession crop protection staff through interaction and collaboration with a broader segment of professionals, regionally and internationally.
- Entitled to name a representative to the Regional IAPPS Advisory Council that would enhance the focus of agricultural research/extension funds on plant protection problems.
- Participate in regional projects that will be developed to address pest problems that are of region-wide importance and to share in funding that may be attracted to those projects from regional and/or international sources.
- Participate in efforts (national, regional, international) to draw greater attention to the dire need for additional funding for the plant protection component of the global food/fiber production systems. This need for additional funding is based upon the fact that an estimated 42% of the potential production is lost annually in major food/fiber crops due to pre-harvest pest damage.
CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS
- Private sector corporations and businesses that supply crop protection materials and equipment will be recruited as Corporate Members with a membership fee negotiated with the IAPPS Executive Committee.
- Corporate Member Benefits.
- A corporate role in the governance of IAPPS through the nomination of a member to the Governing Board.
- Improved opportunities to dialogue and interact with plant protection scientists on a global basis.
- Through this dialogue, to enhance the image of the corporate/business sector with the general public, government agencies, and with special interest groups.
- Opportunities for displays at IAPPS-sponsored events such as the IPPCs at discounted rates.
- Entitlement to name a number of scientists on staff as IAPPS individual members under an agreement determined in negotiation with the IAPPS Executive Committee.
- Participate in regional programs as appropriate through the Regional Network Centers (RNCs).
