Research Program:
Dr. Godoy was hired by Embrapa because of the introduction of soybean rust in Brazil. Since 2004 she has been the technical coordinator of an initiative called "Consórcio Antiferrugem". Its main goal is to develop and transfer technology for management of soybean rust. The consortium consists of several public and private institutions linked by a network of 159 experts and 85 accredited laboratories spread over 17 Brazilian states.
