IAPPS Organizational Structure
IAPPS REGIONAL NETWORK CENTERS
- IAPPS is structured as eight (8) Regional Networks Centers (RNCs). Each RNC is represented on the Governing Board (GB) by a Regional Coordinator.
- Regional Network Centers are established as follows:
- Region I -- Europe;
- Region II -- North Africa and the Middle East;
- Region III -- Sub-Saharan Africa;
- Region IV -- South Asia;
- Region V -- East and Southeast Asia;
- Region VI -- Australasia;
- Region VII -- North America; and
- Region VIII -- Latin America and the Caribbean;
- The RNCs will be selected by the IAPPS Executive Committee
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
- The General Assembly (GA) will comprise the individual members of IAPPS and designated representatives of affiliate, associate, and corporate members.
- The GA will meet each four years at the quadrennial IPPCs, and it shall have the following functions:
- To provide a forum for the discussion of the general policies and programs of the Association;
- To consider matters of general interest to the members;
- To provide for the presentation of honors and awards;
- To approve changes in the Statutes of the Association;
- To provide for the installation of the new officers.
GOVERNING BOARD
- The Governing Board (GB) comprises 16 elected members and one ex-officio member.
- The GB membership is constituted as follows:
- 8 Regional Coordinators, one representing each of the 8 regional networks;
- An industry representative nominated by the Global Crop Protection Federation;
- The Secretary General;
- The Treasurer;
- The IAPPS News Editor;
- A representative from the host country for the next IPPC;
- The Crop Protection Journal Liaison; ex-officio, non-voting
- The IAPPS Past-President
- The IAPPS Vice President
- The IAPPS President (also Chair of the GB); and
- The Liaison with the Crop Protection Journal.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
- The Executive Committee consists of the President, Secretary General, Treasurer, Past President, Vice-President, and an industry representative nominated by the Global Crop Protection Federation (GCPF).
- The Executive Committee shall conduct the affairs of the Association in accordance with the decisions taken by the General Assembly and the Governing Board.
- The Executive Committee decides on the admission of Affiliate, Associate, and corporate members; on the selection of sites for the Regional Network Centers; and on the nominees for Regional Network Coordinators.
