This new section of the IAPPS website provides educational and training resources that address a range of issues that influence, constrain and support aspects involved in the development and practice of plant protection. Currently, these resources include:
- A series of “plant protection stories” analyses and provides examples of the many issues that influence the science and practice of plant protection over time.
- Two major sets of dichotomous keys for identifying insect pests and natural enemies of rice in Asia and West Africa, which were initially published over 20 years ago, but have now been converted and made available as online, interactive pathway keys,
- A review of digital identification tools for plant biosecurity and
- A guide to important websites that provide sources of specific information relevant to many aspects that need to be addressed in developing and implementing plant protection projects.
In the future, it is the intention to add to and expand on these resources.
